Eden Park Illumination's co-founders, Dr. Gary Eden and Dr. Sung-Jin Park, hosted the International Conference on the Fundamentals and Applications on Microplasmas which took place from March 1st - 6th, 2009 at the Catamaran Resort in San Diego, California. Dr. Park gave an in depth presentation on the fundamentals of Microplasma and its importance as an alternative light source for general illumination applications.

The conference was sponsored by The Air Force Office of Scientific Research as well as The National Science Foundation, and each day included various presentations from experienced Microplasma scientists around the world.
